Florida’s Baptist Medical Center to Build $200M Patient Tower

Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla., plans to construct a $200 million patient tower that will include adult and pediatric beds and surgery and diagnostic centers, according to a report by the Financial News & Daily Record.

The tower will include six pediatric floors and five adult patient floors, including one floor dedicated to adult neurological intensive care and another floor dedicated as an adult neurological clinic, according to the report.

The hospital is scheduled to ask the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission for approval of the tower this week. The project is intended to replace some of the hospital’s aging facilities.
