No patients or staff members were harmed; however, several patients were moved because of the smoke. The hospital’s emergency room was on diversion as crews worked to put out the fire. During that time, Munson Healthcare leaders asked the public to stay away from the hospital.
While the fire has been smothered, the hospital has cancelled all elective procedures for the remainder of the day.
