Elmhurst (Ill.) Memorial Healthcare. Originally founded in 1926, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital changed its name to Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare when it expanded its services. Now, the 259-bed hospital provides comprehensive services to patients throughout Chicago’s western suburbs. In 2015, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare received excellence awards in patient safety and general surgery from Healthgrades. U.S. News & World Report ranked Elmhurst among the top 20 hospitals in the Chicago metro area and Illinois in its 2014-15 rankings.
