Consumers Less Willing to Share Positive Experiences in Healthcare Than Other Industries

Consumers are less willing to share positive experiences within a month of service in healthcare as compared to other industries, according to a report called “Customer Experience in Healthcare: The Moment of Truth,” by PwC’s Health Research Institute.

For the report, researchers analyzed data from its unique Customer Experience Radar, a national survey of 6,000 consumers across nearly a dozen industries.

The percentage of consumers who shared positive experiences within a month of service for different industries are as follows, according to the report:

•    Healthcare provider — 54 percent
•    Hotels — 64 percent
•    Airlines — 65 percent
•    Banking — 66 percent
•    Retail — 70 percent
