Colorado health insurance exchange sees record-breaking enrollment

Colorado’s health insurance exchange reported a 12 percent increase in health plan signups during the three months of open enrollment for 2017 coverage compared to last year.

More than 175,000 Coloradans purchased 2017 health coverage through Connect for Health Colorado. Seventy-three percent of customers renewed their health plans, while 27 percent of customers were new to the exchange.   

Connect for Health Colorado CEO Kevin Patterson said, “The steady growth we have seen in each of our open enrollment periods shows we are making valuable progress in providing affordable health insurance to a growing number of individuals and families in Colorado.”
