In a statement to the Akron Beacon Journal, a Cleveland Clinic spokesperson said consolidating services will allow the health system “to provide the highest level of care for mothers and babies.”

Akron (Ohio) General Hospital and Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, both roughly 30 minutes from Medina, will continue to provide labor and delivery services.
