The television and digital ads will feature actors such as Patrick Dempsey, Donald Faison, Neil Patrick Harris and Kate Walsh, who starred on television shows like “Grey’s Anatomy, ” “Scrubs” and “Doogie Howser, M.D.” The TV Doctors will encourage consumers to seek annual check-ups and know their blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and body mass numbers.

Cigna launched the TV Doctors campaign in September 2016. Stephen Cassell, vice president of global branding at Cigna, said, “Cigna is proud that our continuing efforts have helped raise awareness of the importance of preventive care, and have actually driven a 6 percent increase in preventive care visits among Cigna customers. We hope that hearing from our new TV Doctors ensemble this fall will spur even more people to take action and schedule their annual check-up.”
