Chicago’s Resurrection Health Care Cuts 125 Jobs

Chicago-based Resurrection Health Care laid off more than 80 managers as part of cost-cutting measures, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

Resurrection Health Care, which operates eight hospitals in the Chicago area, said that it would be eliminating 125 management, ambulatory services and system support positions. According to the report, the company said that 81 employees had been laid off and an additional 44 vacancies would not be filled.

Resurrection Health Care lost $73 million in 2008 and expects more losses to be reported at the end of its fiscal year on June 30.
