The academic medical center and safety-net hospital brought in $2.2 billion in operating revenue in fiscal year 2012. Its “Baa1” rating on $283 million of debt was affirmed by Moody’s Investors Service this month, noting the system’s 19 percent debt-to-revenue ratio.
Mr. Keating held financial leadership roles in a few Connecticut hospitals, including Windham Hospital in Willimantic and Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and his MBA from Duke University.
