The plan hinges on an agreement with a union to make $30 million in cuts over the next six months and delaying a $29 million payment from Jackson to the University of Miami, neither of which has been agreed to yet.
The proposal was made during a meeting of the Public Health Trust, which oversees the hospital and must deal with the budget cuts. Ms. Roldan’s proposal is expected to be considered by the Miami-Dade Commission.
