CEO of Financially Troubled California Hospital Agrees to Severance Package

The CEO of the Mayers Memorial Hospital District in Fall River Mills, Calif., has agreed to a severance package and will be leaving the financially troubled hospital, according to a report by the Record Searchlight.

Katherine Ann Campbell, who has been on paid administrative leave since late December after clashing with the hospital’s board, will be paid about $13,000 a month during the 18 months left on her contract.

Terry Pena, the hospital’s chief nursing officer, has been serving as acting CEO of the 121-bed hospital, which is facing a $699,000 budget shortfall.
