CEO Allen Harrison: Continuing Excellence at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center

Allen Harrison has served as the CEO of St. David’s North Austin (Texas) Medical Center since September 2011.

Before joining St. David’s North Austin, Mr. Harrison served as the COO of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver. He has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience.

Since Mr. Harrison took charge at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, the hospital has received national recognition for excellence. “This hospital has a history of providing exceptional medical care to patients, collaborating with physicians and creating a positive working environment for employees,” Mr. Harrison has said. “It is an honor to carry on the tradition of excellence.”

In 2012 under Mr. Harrison’s leadership, St. David’s North Austin Medical Center was named as one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation by Thomson Reuters. Additionally, this year the hospital was named as a top performer on key quality measures by The Joint Commission, and The Leapfrog Group gave St. David’s North Austin an “A” hospital safety score this year.

Mr. Harrison earned a master’s degree in engineering and biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and a MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver.
