The CareMore-Gehr Fellowship will allow CareMore physicians to receive training in policy and research at Los Angeles-based Keck Medical Center under Gehr Center faculty mentorship. Fellows will participate in healthcare delivery projects related to CareMore’s Medicare Advantage member and patient base.

“This fellowship is a novel partnership between a leading academic medical center and an innovative managed care delivery system,” Michael Hochman, MD, director of the Gehr Family Center, said. “Examining CareMore’s model, which has successfully treated the highest risk patients in complex healthcare delivery environments, will surely provide key learnings around how we can provide more value to patients while operating an efficient health system.”

Sauda Bholat, MD, former chief resident in internal medicine at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn., was selected as the inaugural fellow.
