CaliforniaChoice launches 2 small group plans

Orange, Calif.-based payer CaliforniaChoice will offer two Western Health Advantage plans for northern California small businesses effective Dec. 1.

The GOLD health maintenance organization C plan and the GOLD HMO D plan offer preventive care services. GOLD HMO C offers $40 co-pays and $10 prescription drug co-pays. GOLD HMO D is a high-deductible health plan and offers a health savings account. Deductibles range from $2,000 to $4,000. 

The insurer serves more than 17,500 employers and 325,000 employees and dependent members.
