Half of the funds for the program will come from the state, with the remainder coming from other partners, including the California Community Colleges system, the University of California and California State University systems, the California Hospital Association and hospitals within the state.
The three-year program, which is set to begin this fall, aims to increase the number of students enrolled in allied health programs across the state.
