California County to Address Hospital Problems

Officials in Southwest Riverside County in California plan to hold a public meeting this week to discuss problems related to Southwest Healthcare System, which operates Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, Calif., and Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, Calif., according to a report in The Press Enterprise.

The California Department of Public Health recently warned it planned to revoke Southwest’s license to run the two hospitals.

Prior to that, the CMS said it planned to cut federal reimbursements to the hospitals in June, according to the report.
