The proposed hospital will be operated by Bay Area Surgical Group, which currently has three locations in the surrounding area. The hospital will include 40 private patient rooms, 16 intensive care rooms and 16 operating rooms, as well as other amenities such as a spa, café and salon, according to the report.

Mr. Sarnevesht says he is close to finalizing investors for the project and is hoping to complete construction in late 2010, with a planned opening for 2011.

The Campbell Planning Commission approved the rezoning of the site for the new hospital, which was formerly IBM office space, on Aug. 11, but the city council will consider final approval in September, according to the report.
