Bon Secours-St. Francis Hospital (Charleston, S.C.). Bon Secours-St. Francis Hospital got its start in 1882 as the St. Francis Infirmary in downtown Charleston, the first Catholic hospital in South Carolina. The 204-bed hospital has earned Magnet-designation for excellence in nursing and was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 2 hospital in the state for 2016-17. The hospital earned a 5-star rating from CMS in fall 2016 and was named a Truven Health Analytics Top 100 Hospital for 2016.
