Mr. Fedele began running the 394-bed hospital in Oct. 2008 as part of a management consulting contract with FTI Healthcare, and that contract will expire in April.
Since his arrival at the onset of the recession, Mr. Fedele reduced the workforce and other operating expenses and narrowed the hospital’s loss to $17.1 million in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2009, from a $61.2 million loss in the previous fiscal year.
