Board Recommends Putting Ohio Hospital Up for Bid

The board of trustees of CMH Regional Health System has recommended that Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio, be put up for bid and become part of a for-profit corporation, according to a report in the Dayton Daily News.

Clinton County currently owns the hospital. Bidding on the acquisition of the hospital may result in the sale of CMH, according to the report. Two for-profit corporations are interested in acquiring? a full-service hospital in the county.

According to board officials, the recommendation is the best way to keep a hospital in Clinton County. The board and the county have the ability to reject any and all bids on the hospital, according to the report.
