The 37,000-square-foot center will offer comprehensive outpatient cancer care, including consultations, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and clinical trials. The facility will also include a linear accelerator, and Washington University will operate an infusion center for chemotherapy.
Bruce J. Roth, MD, professor of medicine at Washington University, will be the director of medical oncology at the new location, and Parag J. Parikh, MD, assistant professor of radiation oncology at Washington University, will serve as director of radiation oncology. The physicians at the main Siteman Cancer Center location will also serve patients at this new location.
Construction is expected to be completed by early 2013.
