Baptist Health South Florida Applies for New Hospital in Miami Area

Residents of West Kendall, Fla., voiced support of a certificate of need application by Baptist Health South Florida for a new hospital in their community, according to a report by the Miami Herald.

Residents cited long waits for emergency care, traffic and the rapid population growth in the area as reasons for a new hospital.

Baptist has opened two urgent care centers in the area in preparation for a full-fledged hospital.
