Arkansas Hospital Announces CEO, CFO Changes

Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark., has named Melody Trimble as its new CEO and David Rothenberger as its new CFO, according to a report in The City Wire.

The management changes are part of an agreement to sell Sparks Health System to Health Management Associates, which transfers ownership of the hospital to HMA on Nov. 30, according to the report.

Ms. Trimble served as CEO of Venice Regional Medical Center in Venice, Fla., and has been with HMA since 1991, according to the report. She earned a master’s in nursing at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.

No further information on Mr. Rothenberger was given in the report or in a memo issued by Sparks Regional Medical Center.
