“While employment levels at the companies can be expected to vary in the ordinary course of business including as a result of healthcare reform, Anthem has no current plans or proposals to reduce in any material respect the number of employees employed by the companies,” Anthem stated in the application.
The application also provided new details about the post-merger roles of Cigna executives. Other than Cigna CEO David Cordani, no top Cigna executive has an explicit offer on what his or her role would be after the merger, Anthem said in the application.
