All Healthcare Prices Steady in May; Up 2.9% From Year Ago

Healthcare prices in all listed sectors were unchanged in May but were up 2.9 percent from a year ago, according to a release from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Hospital prices rose 3.5 percent while physician office prices rose 2.1 percent from a year ago. The bureau’s price report has no listing for outpatient centers.

In comparison, the producer price Index for finished goods fell 0.3 percent during May, seasonally adjusted.
