The payer filed ACA exchange rates in Nevada as it seeks a contract to service the state’s Medicaid beneficiaries, according to CNN Money.
In a statement to The Hill Tuesday, Aetna did not confirm its participation in Nevada’s ACA exchange, stating the insurer “filed rates based on a contractual obligation with the state, but no final decision on our participation has been made.”
In August 2016, Aetna pulled out of 11 of the 15 state exchanges it participated in ahead of the 2017 coverage year. This year, Aetna said it would completely leave the exchanges.
