ACHE Announces Gold Medal and Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award Winners

The American College of Healthcare Executives has named the 2013 winners of its Gold Medal and Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Awards.

Recipients of the Gold Medal Award — the highest honor the organization bestows — include Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, CAE, and Wayne M. Lerner, DrPH, FACHE. Dr. Dolan served as president and CEO of the ACHE and received the award in the category for a non-delivery healthcare organization. Dr. Lerner, president of Holy Corss Hospital in Chicago, won in the category for healthcare delivery organization.

Christina Freese-Decker, president of Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville, Mich., and Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview, Mich., won the Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year.

Award winners will be honored at the ACHE’s 56th Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago, March 11-14.
