The survey, which queried 244 executives from senior housing and care facilities, highlighted the following findings on post-acute care ACO participation.
- Just over three-fourths — 78 percent — of post-acute care providers surveyed are not participating in an ACO.
- 12 percent have participated in an ACO for less than a year.
- 9 percent have participated in an ACO for less than a year.
- 47 percent of respondents not participating in an ACO said it was because one doesn’t exist in their service area.
- 35 percent of respondents not participating in an ACO said it was because they haven’t been asked to join.
- 17 percent elected not to participate in an ACO.
- 1 percent attempted to participate, but did not qualify.
