For the survey, researchers polled 530 hospital C-suite executives and materials and practice area managers.
Other significant findings of the survey are:
• Forty percent of respondents are projecting their capital spending to increase over the next year.
• Almost 37 percent of survey respondents are projecting a capital spending decrease.
• Twenty-nine percent of survey respondents report that the overutilization of products and services is one of the biggest drivers of healthcare costs.
• Forty-eight percent of survey respondents say that reimbursement cuts have greatest impact on their health system.
