Wilber Dimas died July 15. He had been in a medically-induced coma in the burn unit at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas in Austin.

Mr. Dimas suffered burns across 70 percent of his body and contracted pneumonia because of burns inside his lungs, the report states.

The explosion occurred June 26 inside the physical plant under construction behind the hospital. Michael Bruggman died in the explosion, while a second worker, Filiberto Morales, died two days later.

“As a healthcare organization dedicated to saving and improving lives, we understand how difficult this must be for Mr. Dimas’s family. Our deepest sympathies are with them, and they continue to be in our thoughts and prayers,” a Coryell Memorial Healthcare spokesperson told KWTX-10 July 16.
