Marty Brockman (Western Arizona Regional Medical Center, Bullhead City, Ariz.). Mr. Brockman was named CFO of Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in December. He previously served as CFO of Yakima (Wash.) Regional Hospital.
Benjamin Carter (Trinity Health, Novi, Mich.). Mr. Carter was named the new CFO of Trinity Health in February. He began the position on March 1. Mr. Carter previously served as COO of Detroit Medical Center, a position he held since 2005.
Edward Chadwick (Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, N.C.). Mr. Chadwick was named CFO and executive vice president of finance at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., in July. Most recently, Mr. Chadwick served as CFO and senior vice president for Trinity Health, based in Novi, Mich.
Kelly Curry (Health Management Associations, Naples, Fla.). Mr. Curry was announced as the new CFO of hospital operator Health Management Associates in January. He most recently served as the company’s chief administration officer.
Tracey Fernandez (Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside, Calif.). Ms. Fernandez was named CFO and vice president at Riverside Community Hospital in March. She previously served as interim CFO and assistant vice president and controller at the hospital.
Duncan Gallagher (Allina Hospitals & Clinics, Minneapolis). Mr. Gallagher was named the new executive vice president and CFO of Allina Hospitals & Clinics in August. He previously served as the COO and CFO of Iowa Health System in Des Moines and as a partner with KPMG.
Paul Goldberg (LibertyHealth, Jersey City, N.J.). Mr. Goldberg was named senior vice president and CFO of LibertyHealth in July. He previously served as interim CFO at LibertyHealth’s Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus, N.J.
Joe Jeans (Providence Medical Center, Kansas City; Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, Kan.). Mr. Jeans was named CFO of two Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth (Kan.) Health System’s facilities — Providence Medical Center in Kansas City and Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth — in November. He recently served as CFO for Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.
Lance Laube (Lehigh Regional Medical Center, Lehigh Acres, Fla.). Mr. Laube was named the new CFO of Health Management Associates’ Lehigh Regional Medical Center in October. He previously served as corporate accounting manager, accounting director and controller for Health Management Associates.
Tim Lessing (St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington, La.). Mr. Lessing was named CFO of St. Tammany Parish Hospital in September. He previously served as CFO at Community Health Systems’ Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, Ind.
Denise Marroni (Providence Health and Services, Southwest Service Area, Renton, Wash.). Ms. Marroni was named CFO of Providence Health and Services’ Southwest Washington service area in October. Her duties include overseeing the finances of Providence Centralia (Wash.) Hospital, Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash., and the Providence Physician Network.
David Mazurkiewicz (McLaren Health Care, Flint, Mich.). Mr. Mazurkiewicz was named CFO of McLaren Health Care, an eight-hospital system, in September. He previously served as senior vice president of finance at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
Sue McCarthy (Grady Health System, Atlanta). Ms. McCarthy was named CFO of Grady Health System in August. She previously served as CFO of Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
Tim Noakes (Sonoma Valley Hospital, Sonoma Calif.). Mr. Noakes was named CFO of Sonoma Valley Hospital in October. He most recently served as CEO and CFO of Stanislaus Surgical Hospital in Modesto, Calif.
Chance Phillips (Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill, Fla.). Mr. Phillips was named as the new CFO of HCA’s Oak Hill Hospital in October. Mr. Phillips previously served as CFO of HCA Patient Account Services and as controller and co-ethics and compliance officer at Oak Hill Hospital from 2001-2005.
David Rothenberger (Sparks Regional Medical Center, Fort Smith, Ark.). Mr. Rothenberger was named CFO of Sparks Regional Medical Center in November. The appointment came after Sparks Regional was sold to Health Management Associates.
Jesse Saucedo (Heartland Spine & Specialty Hospital, Overland Park, Kan.). Mr. Saucedo was named CFO of Heartland Spine & Specialty Hospital, a physician-owned hospital, in February. Prior to joining Heartland, Mr. Saucedo was a rural health specialist with KSF & Associates in Alpine, Texas, and was CFO of Catholic Health Initiatives in Great Bend, Kan.
Julie Soekoro (Trinity Medical Center, Birmingham, Ala.). Ms. Soekoro was announced as the new CFO of Trinity Medical Center in October. She previously served as CFO at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, S.C., and Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, N.M.
Kevin Walstrom (PeaceHealth, Bellevue, Wash.). Mr. Walstrom was named senior vice president and CFO of PeaceHealth, a regional health system that serves communities in Alaska, Washington and Oregon, in January. He previously served as CFO for Providence Health and Services, headquartered in Renton, Wash.
Patrick Whitmore (Medical Center of Plano, Plano, Texas). Mr. Whitmore was named CFO at Medical Center of Plano in June. He most recently served as CFO for Vanguard Health Systems in Chicago for two acute-care teaching hospitals affiliated with The University of Chicago.
