2 OSF hospitals back in network with BCBS

Two hospitals recently acquired by Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare from Chicago-based Presence are back in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois as of Feb. 16, The News-Gazette reports.

OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, Ill., and OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, Ill., went out of network with BCBSI Feb. 1 after OSF completed its purchase of the hospitals from Presence.

Under a new multiyear agreement, BCBSI members can access the two OSF facilities at in-network prices. The agreement is effective immediately and is retroactive to Feb. 1.
