Walmart partners with telehealth startup Ro: 4 things to know

Jackie Drees -

Ro, a direct-to-consumer telehealth app for pharmacy services, inked its first retail collaboration with Walmart, the companies announced April 28.

Four things to know:

1. Under the new partnership, Ro will launch its Roman health and wellness products and digital services in more than 4,600 Walmart stores across the country.

2. Ro will make available its line of Roman daily vitamins and supplements for heart health, stress relief and prostate health both online and in Walmart stores beginning May 1.

3. Ro recently closed a $500 million financing round in March to boost its vertically integrated primary care platform and expand its pharmacy distribution network.

4. Walmart customers will also have the option to use Ro's telehealth services, which comprise a national network of providers who can virtually visit with patients, diagnose conditions and order prescriptions.
