UCSF Health partners with Circle Medical on primary care clinics

Jackie Drees -

Two new primary care clinics will open in the Bay Area as a result of an affiliation between UCSF Health and Circle Medical.

Under the agreement, announced Jan. 27, the UCSF and Circle Medical clinics will accommodate same or next-day appointments. Circle Medical is a San Francisco-based primary care provider that uses telemedicine technology to treat patients.

"Primary care consumers expect healthcare providers to deliver a more modern and digital experience in 2020," said Tom Ronay, MD, medical director at Circle Medical. "By affiliating with UCSF Health, we can meet these expectations while ensuring our patients are receiving top-quality medical care within a growing, integrated healthcare network."

Circle Medical offers both telemedicine and in-person care across its network of clinics. Patients that use the clinic's service have access to a mobile application, which they can use to communicate with their clinicians, view their medical records and receive personalized preventive care recommendations.
