Catherine Jacobson, president and CEO of Milwaukee-based Froedtert Health, joined Teladoc Health's board of directors, according to a Feb. 25 news release.

Ms. Jacobsen oversees Froedtert Health's network, which comprises five hospitals, almost 40 health centers and clinics and is home to more than 1,700 physicians.

As a member of Teladoc's board of directors, Ms. Jacobsen will provide her leadership and financial experience within health systems to help support the virtual care company's strategy.

"[Ms. Jacobson] is a proven national healthcare leader who has repeatedly helped build strong organizations with market-leading performance," Teladoc Health CEO Jason Gorevic said in the news release. "At a time when virtual care is such a critical strategy for hospitals and health systems, we are pleased to welcome [Ms. Jacobson] and benefit from her vast experience in this area."

Ms. Jacobson became president and CEO of Froedtert in 2012, two years after joining the health system as executive vice president of finance and strategy, CFO and chief strategy officer. Prior to Froedtert, she served in various leadership roles during her 22-year stint at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
