Here are four things to know:
1. 98point6 launched its telehealth service, which allows users to schedule virtual consultations with the startup’s full-time primary care physicians, this past spring. Most communication between patients and physicians is conducted via text messaging, although video and voice calls are also available.
2. The startup has raised more than $86 million since it was founded in 2015, and 98point6’s most recent funding round was led by Goldman Sachs.
3. 98point6 has partnered with a few companies to provide its service to their employees through the companies’ healthcare plans. Seattle Children’s Hospital is one of these partners.
4. The startup has 126 employees, including 15 physicians, and its service is available in 40 states. It plans to be active in all 50 states by the end of the year.
