Oklahoma government selects telemedicine provider for state health insurance plans

Jackie Drees -

The Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services formed an agreement with telemedicine provider SwiftMD to offer virtual care services for the state's self-funded HealthChoice PPO plans.

Three notes:

1. SwiftMD provides phone and video conferencing services with board-certified physicians in place of in-person appointments.

2. Under the new partnership, 150,000 HealthChoice PPO members and dependents will have access to SwiftMD.

3. The new services will go into effect Jan. 1, 2020.
