Jessica Kim Cohen -

Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health and Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health entered into a five-year agreement with InTouch Health to develop several remote care applications, the telehealth vendor announced Jan. 25.

Under the partnership, InTouch Health will collaborate with Jefferson Health and Mission Health to create remote care models for 10 use cases, primarily focused on acute care and outpatient care. The 10 selected use cases include stroke, sepsis and acute heart failure care.

InTouch Health will test these models at Jefferson Health, an urban setting, and Mission health, a suburban and rural setting, to ensure the models facilitate patient access across multiple markets. Both Jefferson Health and Mission Health have existing commercial relationships with InTouch Health.

"We look forward to discovering new ways telehealth can help innovate healthcare to drive efficiencies that will improve quality of care and increase both patient and physician satisfaction," said Joseph M. DeVivo, CEO of InTouch Health.
