HGE Health, a healthcare technology company, is expanding the rollout of its telemedicine platform and mobile application that allows lung transplant surgeons to more easily communicate with patients.
The digital platform and app, called HGE Care Advanced, is available in both the U.S. and Europe. HGE Care Advanced enables surgeons and patients, pre-and post-lung transplant, to more easily connect.
"We've gone from 40 to over 130 lung transplants annually in a very short period of time," said Francis C. Cordova, MD, professor of thoracic medicine and surgery at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and medical director of the lung transplantation program at Temple University Hospital, both in Philadelphia. "Our goal is to continue to increase the number of transplants we perform each year and to expand our geographic footprint, while continuing to provide the high-quality care that is synonymous with the Temple Lung Center pre- and post-surgery. HGE Care Advanced will improve our ability to expand care for our growing list of patients nationwide."
