Former NFL star raises $1M for his telehealth physical therapy company

Former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has secured $1 million in funding from venture capital group HBSI Capital for his telehealth physical therapy company, Ventrk.

Ventrk's flagship product, TheraCentric software, allows physical therapists to standardize and collect data from home physical therapy routines. TheraCentric is used by hospitals across Washington state, according to an Aug. 24 HBSI Capital news release.

"We are actively revolutionizing the physical therapy recovery journey with TheraCentric. I am bullish on our mission because we have a proven product, a dedicated team, and a winning culture," Mr. Baldwin said. "Now, with the backing of the forward-thinking firm in HBSI, we have the resources to accelerate our effort in getting our platform in the hands of those who need it most."
