Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, a member of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System, launched remote intensive care unit services with Advanced ICU Care, a telehealth and patient monitoring provider.
Under the agreement, Advanced ICU Care's team of critical care physicians and nurses will provide 24/7 oversight for patients in the hospital's ICU. If a remote intensivist physician from one of the company's eight off-site care centers identifies a situation in need of urgent intervention, he or she will engage the on-site physicians and nurses.
Florida Hospital Zephyrhills joins multiple Adventist Health System facilities across seven states which have deployed services from Advanced ICU Care.
"We continue to expand our relationship with Advanced ICU Care because of the very positive results we have achieved together and our ability to consistently deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care across a spectrum of hospitals," said Jean Turcotte, system director of patient care operations at Adventist Health System.
