Crossover Health — a medical services provider for companies such as Apple, Microsoft and Facebook — acquired telehealth company Sherpaa Health.

Three notes:

1. Crossover Health develops physical onsite and near-site health centers for self-insured employers and their employees.

2. Through its purchase of Sherpaa Health, Crossover aims to help employers expand digital health offerings for their remote and onsite employees.

3. Sherpaa Health's virtual care platform will allow Crossover to add digital care options integrated with other employer benefits and digital health programs.

"With the addition of the Sherpaa technology to our portfolio, the Crossover platform can now offer a consistent high-touch experience and differentiated clinical outcomes to any member anytime, anywhere in the United States," Crossover Chief Strategy Officer Karoline Hilu, MD, said in a news release. "We see this partnership as the first of many opportunities to integrate critical digital health features into our membership-based primary health service."
