Jackie Drees -

Amwell has launched a telehealth services platform aimed at smaller physician practices. In a news release, company CEO Roy Schoenberg said the platform focuses on assisting community-based care when physician offices "are closed, or their on-site services are deeply limited."

Four things to know:

1. The product, dubbed Amwell Private Practice, is designed for physician practices with under 100 providers.

2. Amwell is waiving provider fees for the product through June 30.

3. The platform lets physicians schedule virtual visits with existing and new patients for primary, urgent, specialty and behavioral healthcare.

4. The platform lets physicians customize their clinical workflows and access tools including e-prescribing, online physician enrollment, onboarding and training, and patient payment collection abilities.
