8 recent hospital, telehealth vendor partnerships

Eight recent partnerships between health systems and telehealth vendors:

1. Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health partnered with Contessa, an acute home care management company, to offer its patients home recovery care services, including virtual visits by a physician and remote monitoring.

2. Texas A&M University Health Science Center is teaming up with Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes, a telehealth teaching model for clinicians, on a program to address the opioid epidemic.

3. Hazard, Ky.-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare System will launch Advanced ICU Care's remote monitoring technology for intensive care unit patients across all 12 of its hospitals.

4. Optima Health is piloting telehealth company MDLive's recently launched quality performance product CareLink, which aims to help health systems improve various clinical quality metrics.

5. AdventHealth Dade City (Fla.), part of AdventHealth system in Altamonte Springs, Fla., added Advanced ICU Care's remote monitoring technology for patients in its intensive care unit.

6. New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System partnered with TytoCare to offer patients access to a remote patient examination device developed for virtual appointments.

7. Teladoc Health is working with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center to develop its first consumer-specific pediatric telehealth platform.

8. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health added remote monitoring technology from Advanced ICU Care, an intensive care unit telemedicine provider, for patients at Baptist Medical Center Nassau.
