5 hospitals, health systems launching telehealth services

Here are five hospitals and health systems that implemented telehealth technology and services in February:

1. Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora is now providing remote second opinions via health advisory firm PinnacleCare's virtual care platform.

2. Renton, Wash.-based Providence on Feb. 5 unveiled its latest initiative to combat healthcare provider burnout: a telehealth-based behavioral health concierge for its employees.

3. University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System physicians began treating patients with lung nodules via telemedicine as part of a new pilot program aimed at improving early detection and treatment of lung cancer.

4. Minneapolis-based Children's Minnesota Health System will begin providing neonatal care delivered via telemedicine technology to six hospitals across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

5. UC Davis Health began a telemedicine partnership with Adventist Health + Rideout, offering neonatology care to patients at the Roseville, Calif.-based health system via virtual consultation.
