Johns Hopkins Medicine inks 5-year agreement with Medline

Morgan Haefner -

Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine signed a five-year distribution agreement with medical supply provider Medline, the company said Aug. 13.

Under the agreement, Medline will manage medical supplies and clinical solutions for 16 acute and post-operative facilities in Maryland, the District of Columbia and St. Petersburg, Fla. Johns Hopkins will also align with Medline's supply chain management organization, Nobilant, to further standardize products and manage costs.

Medline converted Johns Hopkins' ordering, delivery, billing and technology systems to its supply chain management processes in the first four months of the agreement.
