FedEx partners with Walgreens to provide package delivery, drop off locations

FedEx will offer customers the opportunity to pickup or drop off packages at almost 8,000 Walgreens locations nationwide.

Here are three things to know.

  1. The FedEx Onsite program will allow customers to drop off pre-packaged, pre-labeled shipments at Walgreens stores and pick up shipments delivered to the store for safe keeping.

  2. FedEx developed the program after internal research showed customers rank pharmacies as a preferred location for accessing their shipments, according to the company's executive vice president, chief marketing and communications officer, Raj Subramaniam.

  1. The two companies will roll out the program in a small scale this spring, before expanding to more than 8,000 Walgreens across the U.S. by fall 2018, according to the report.
