A generic version of Narcan, a device for ADHD & more: 6 recent FDA approvals

Six drugs or medical devices have been approved by the FDA since April 12:

1. The first generic version of Narcan, a naloxone nasal spray used to reverse opioid overdoses

2. The Current wireless wearable, a  smartphone-sized device secured to a users' upper arm, measures patients' vital signs in real time.

3. The KardiaMobile electrocardiogram, a smartphone-compatible consumer device, detects three types of heart arrhythmias, including bradycardia, tachycardia and atrial fibrillation.

4. The Monarch external trigeminal nerve stimulation system is the first digital medical device to treat ADHD in children.

5. Balversa is a treatment for adult patients with advanced metastatic bladder cancer that has genetic alterations known as fibroblast growth factor receptors.

6. Skyrizi, a subcutaneous injection, treats moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are eligible for phototherapy or systemic therapy. It is manufactured by AbbVie.
