3 latest FDA approvals

Here are the three latest drugs or medical devices approved by the Food and Drug Administration in the past week.

1. Radicava represents the first FDA-approved treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis — or Lou Gehrig's disease — in 22 years.

2. Keytruda may now be used, in combination with chemotherapy, for previously untreated patients with advanced lung cancer.

3. Bavencio may now be used to treat advanced or metastatic bladder cancer in patients whose disease still progresses after chemotherapy.
