Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation rebrands to reflect statewide reach

Morgan Haefner -

The Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation, a nonprofit agency aimed at improving childhood health and wellness, is changing its name, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The agency will now be named the Children's Foundation. The change is meant to convey the foundation's growing reach throughout Michigan. Prior to 2016, the foundation had been mainly focused on work in Detroit and surrounding areas. The agency was once partnered with the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.

Now the foundation's resources for issues like mental health, abuse and neglect, and injury prevention have a statewide reach. Today, the Children's Foundation has 66 partners in and outside of Detroit, who can benefit from the organization's grants and other funding.
